Levitating superconductor defies gravity, ushers in the Future.

It’s been a while since i did a “Quest for Funnies” post. But this one definitely beats all the previous ones!
This seems like the next step towards making hover-boards a reality. Well, that is if were willing to freeze our feet off standing on a supercooled superconductor.
Researchers at the Tel-Aviv University have found a way for a disc, locked within the magnetic field, to rotate around a vertical axis, turn upside down or do laps around a track — all thanks to a phenomenon that Tel-Aviv’s physicists call “quantum trapping.”  See for yourselves in the video below.
